Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego

Daniel 3 (NIV)

King Nebuchadnezzar demanded that everyone bow to his golden image. These three young men refused, saying, "We will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up." The king was furious and threw them into a blazing furnace heated seven times hotter. But they walked unharmed in the fireβ€”and a fourth figure, "like a son of the gods," was with them. When the king saw this, he praised their God and promoted them. Courage is doing what's right even when the consequences are terrifying.
