Daniel in the Lion's Den

King Darius signed a law forbidding prayer to anyone but him. Daniel knew about it but went home, opened his windows toward Jerusalem, and prayed—just as he always did. He was thrown into a den of lions. The king said, "May your God, whom you serve continually, rescue you!" God sent an angel and shut the lions' mouths. Daniel emerged without a scratch. Courage is consistency—praying and trusting God no matter what.
