The Parable of the Persistent Friend

Luke 11:5-13 (NIV)

Jesus told a story: a man went to his friend's house at midnight, asking for bread to feed an unexpected guest. The friend said, "Don't bother me. The door is already locked." But the man kept knocking. Finally, the friend gave him what he needed, not because he was a friend but because of his persistence. Jesus said, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." Keep asking, seeking, and knockingโ€”God hears you.
