Healing the Man with a Withered Hand

Jesus went into the synagogue on the Sabbath. A man was there with a withered hand. The Pharisees watched to see if Jesus would heal him, hoping to accuse him. Jesus asked, "Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath, or to do evil?" He said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." The man stretched it out, and it was completely restored. Doing good and showing compassion is always the right thing—even when others criticize.
