Jesus Heals a Blind Man

A blind beggar named Bartimaeus sat by the roadside. When he heard that Jesus was passing by, he shouted, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" The crowd rebuked him, telling him to be quiet, but he shouted all the louder. Jesus stopped and called him. "What do you want me to do for you?" Jesus asked. Bartimaeus replied, "Rabbi, I want to see." Jesus said, "Go, your faith has healed you." Immediately, he received his sight and followed Jesus. Don't let anyone silence your cry for help—persistent faith gets God's attention.
